Gren Schoch, Chairman
Mr. Gren Schoch is a professional engineer and ran a successful engineering and geological services company, MPH Consulting, between 1976 and 1995. In 1982, he also founded and chaired Petromet Resources, a junior oil and gas exploration company that was sold to Talisman Energy for more than $900 million in 2001. Since 1989, Mr. Schoch has been the Chairman and a substantial shareholder of AirBoss.
Robert Hagerman, President and CEO
Mr. Robert Hagerman obtained his CA designation in 1976 and was employed by the Montreal, and later the London office, of Price Waterhouse for 12 years in Audit, Insolvency, and Mergers and Acquisitions. Mr. Hagerman one of the original directors of AirBoss was appointed CEO in 1992 and has been instrumental in growing the company ever since.
Stephen Richards, VP Finance and CFO
Mr. Stephen Richards obtained his Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto in 1985 and his CA designation in 1988. He began his financial career with Ernst & Young and over a seven year period was involved in various Audit, Insolvency and Management Consulting assignments. His primary responsibilities in his career with various transportation and manufacturing companies included strategic planning, systems development and performance improvement. In his previous role Mr. Richards served as Vice President of Finance for Clarke Inc., a TSX-listed transportation company, and joined AirBoss in April, 2005 as Vice President, Finance and CFO.
Robert Dodd, Executive Vice-President
Mr. Robert Dodd has held either Director or Vice President Roles at 3 previous employers prior to joining AirBoss. At Trellborg he was on the Board of Directors of their North American company TSS US Inc. and was also a minority shareholder with Southland Technologies prior to joining AirBoss. Robert has a proven change management track record and also has prior expertise in developing and executing business strategies for both international and domestic markets in an executive capacity. With his prior experience of developing acquisition targets in India and Brazil and his recent achievement of establishing a Green field site in Shanghai, China, Robert brings a wealth of International and diverse experiences to his new role within AirBoss.
Earl Laurie, President AirBoss-Defense,
a division of AirBoss Engineered Products
Mr. Earl Laurie obtained his BBA in Entrepreneurship in 1989. He joined Acton Rubber in 1991 as the contract manager for the small military division, becoming manager of military sales in 1993 and winning major Defense contracts with various nations for CB protective footwear. He has also been involved in negotiating agreements with the Canadian Crown for a joint development of a new moulded CB protective glove and re-establishing the Canadian C4 Gas Mask production. Since 2004 when he became President of AirBoss-Defense the division has seen sales increase, and today it is a world leader in the development and sale of Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN) personal protective equipment with sales to over 22 nations.
Yvan Ambeault, Manager of Manufacturing Operations,
AirBoss Engineered Products
Mr. Yvan Ambeault has a Baccalaureate in Chemistry and a Master’s Degree in Polymer from Laval University. He worked for Acton International in 1990 as a compounder for the industrial division and then was promoted to Research and Development Director in 1996. He was then promoted to Technical Manager in 2002 where he was in charge of Quality and Research and Development. In 2004, Mr. Ambeault became the Manager of Manufacturing Operations at AirBoss Engineering Products overseeing the production of defense and industrial products.
Robert Magnuson, President, AirBoss Railway Products Inc.
Mr. Robert Magnuson obtained his BS Civil Engineering, BS Forestry from the University of Iowa. He also completed graduate studies in transportation, economics and engineering, E.I.T. registration in Illinois. His career includes many positions such as Tie Inspector for the Santa Fe Railroad, System Planner and Construction Engineer with Illinois Central Golf Railroad, Construction Engineer with Division Maintenance Engineer Conrail, Director of Engineering Planning at Chicago Missouri Western Railroad, General Manager McKay Australia Ltd; General Manager Safelok Rail Fastenings (Pandrol Ltd.) and President MBM Fastenings. He is presently the President of ARP, Inc. and he is affiliated with the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance Association.
